Steve Hall: A True Champion of the Military Community – and one we are proud to call our own

Steve Hall, a veteran of the Royal Corps of Signals, is a remarkable example of dedication and service to his fellow ex-servicemen and women. After serving from 1985 to 2002, both as a Regular and a Reservist, Steve has gone on to raise over £60,000 for military charities, while offering crucial support to veterans and their families.

However, Steve's contributions go far beyond fundraising. He assists with arrangements of funerals for veterans, ensuring they receive the send-off they deserve. He also founded a veterans’ breakfast club and grew the Royal Signals Bikers Association to over 1,000 members.  Even with his own health challenges, Steve has continued organising charity events, festivals, and offering support to those struggling with PTSD or loss.

Nominated for Volunteer of the Year, Steve attended the Celebrating Forces Families awards on 25th April 2025 at the Connaught Grand Hotel in London. Steve was joined by his wife Sue and fellow Signals veteran Ian Curtis. Steve’s hard work and selflessness earned him a place as one of the top three finalists. Being nominated for this prestigious award was a testament to his tireless commitment to the cause.

Steve's story is a reminder for us all; his example reminds us that every effort, whether big or small, can make a difference in the lives of those who have served. Whether it’s through donating, volunteering, or simply offering support, we can all follow Steve’s lead in making a lasting impact on the military community.
