Sgt A Redwood Takes on the Great South Run for Charity

 

Adam is taking part in this year’s Great South Run on 19 Oct to raise awareness and funds for the charity.

“The support provided by the Royal Signals Charity is a lifeline for so many,” he said.
“Running the Great South Run is my way of giving back to a community that has given me so much.”

 The cause holds particular personal significance for Adam, whose father served a remarkable 42 years in the military.

“Growing up, I saw how much the veterans’ community meant to my dad—especially now, in his later years,” he explained.
“The camaraderie, shared experiences, and sense of belonging that come from staying connected to the military family have been vital to his wellbeing. It’s a stark reminder of how important these networks are, particularly for those adjusting to life after service.”

Adam added:

“I’m incredibly proud to represent the Royal Signals Charity and to contribute to its mission. Every step I take during the run will be for the veterans, serving personnel, and their families who benefit from the charity’s incredible work”.
