Personnel from 30 Signal Regiment took on Ex SWAN ENDURANCE, a 24-hour inter-Squadron cycling relay, on 24th and 25th August - raising an impressive £1,775 for the Royal Signals Charity.
Organised by Cpl Daniel Hammond, the challenge saw teams from 244, 250, 256 and 258 Squadrons and Support Squadron compete to cover the greatest distance over 24 hours, with a rider on the bike throughout. As a Junior NCO-led initiative, it doubled as a leadership and teamwork development opportunity, with fundraising totals contributing directly to each Squadron's score.
The Regiment had set out to raise £1,000 - smashing that target thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part and donated.
Participants spoke of the chance to push themselves physically while giving back to a Charity that supports serving personnel, veterans and their families - with one describing it as a way to contribute to "something bigger than myself."
