Its not our story

At the Royal Signals Charity, we are often asked why there aren’t more case studies or personal stories shared across our platforms.  The answer is simple…. It’s not our story to tell.

When someone chooses to share their journey, whether it’s about overcoming hardship, seeking support or finding strength in the community – it is an act of courage.  It means opening up about some of the most personal chapters in their lives and potentially some of their darkest times.  This isn’t something anyone should ever feel pressured to do.

We can’t express our gratitude to those who come forward and allow us to tell their story.  These voices can inspire others, highlight our work and bring comfort to those who may be facing similar challenges.  We recognise this is a huge step.

Our role is to support our community, a story should always be shared on someone’s own terms, at their own pace, and with full control over what is shared.  It’s about dignity, respect and trust.

If you do ever feel ready to share your journey, we would be honoured to hear from you.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at fundraisingmanager@royalsignals.org.  Your story could help to inspire and support others in ways you may never imagine.
