Celebrating the Royal Corps of Signals 105th Anniversary

Celebrating the Royal Corps of Signals 105th Anniversary – Join the Fundraising Effort!

This year marks a significant milestone for the Royal Corps of Signals as we celebrate its 105th anniversary on June 28th. For over a century, the Royal Corps of Signals has been the backbone of communications for the British Army, ensuring that our forces stay connected, informed, and coordinated. To honour this historic occasion, we invite you to take part in fundraising efforts that directly support the Royal Signals Charity.

The Royal Signals Charity plays a vital role in supporting the men and women who serve or have served in the Royal Corps of Signals. This includes offering financial assistance, mental health support, welfare services, and fostering camaraderie within the signaller community.

How Can You Get Involved?

We encourage you to host your very own fundraising event for the Royal Signals Charity, whether you're at home, at work, or with friends. A great and easy way to get started is by organizing a 'Birthday Coffee Morning'. Gather your friends, family, or work colleagues for a relaxed and enjoyable coffee morning, and ask for donations to the Royal Signals Charity in place of any gifts.

Here’s how you can organize your coffee morning:

1.      Set a Date and Time: Plan the event around June 28th to coincide with the anniversary, or choose another date that suits your group. Here at HQ we will be hosting ours annually on the Wednesday before Corps Weekend.

2.      Spread the Word: Reach out to your friends, family, colleagues, and neighbours and let them know about your fundraising efforts. Make it clear that it's all in support of a great cause!

3.      Add a Personal Touch: Decorate your venue with some Royal Signals-themed items, share stories of the Royal Corps of Signals’ impact, and highlight the importance of the charity’s work.

4.      Get Creative with Donations: Encourage your guests to donate by creating a donation box or set up a digital donation page (many platforms now make it easy to do this). You could even add extra fun with raffles, small competitions, or a "guess the number of coffee beans" game.

5.      Share Your Success: Once your event is over, be sure to share your success and how much you’ve raised on social media. Inspire others to get involved in future fundraising efforts.

Why It Matters

Your participation in this fundraiser will directly benefit those who have given so much to our country. The Royal Signals Charity helps signallers, past and present, in times of need, and your donation can make a lasting impact.

This is a chance for us all to come together, celebrate a rich history, and show our gratitude to those who have kept us connected through the years.

Let’s make this 105th anniversary special by giving back and supporting our heroes. Get involved, host a coffee morning, and raise funds for the Royal Signals Charity today!
