KIDS GO FREE at the Royal Signals Museum this summer
Looking for a fun, educational, and budget-friendly day out for the whole family this summer? The Royal Signals Museum is thrilled to offer a KIDS GO FREE promotion throughout the summer holidays, inviting families to explore the exciting world of military communications - past, present, and future!
From Saturday 19th July 2025 to Saturday 6th September 2025, children aged under 16 go FREE with a paying adult. Located in Blandford Camp, Dorset, the Museum is packed with hands-on exhibits and interactive displays designed to engage and inspire curiosity.
Plus, every Wednesday in August the Museum will be providing taster sessions of its STEM education sessions. Kids will get an opportunity to code robotic vehicles, learn Morse code and break real-world Second World War secret codes.
What can families do at the Royal Signals Museum?
This is the perfect opportunity to explore the fascinating world of military communications, from wartime codebreaking to cutting-edge cyber technology.
Our interactive galleries provide an opportunity to drive an armoured vehicle through a virtual landscape, set up a satellite network and practice Morse code.
Experience incredible stories of teamwork and innovation through the Museum’s free Bloomberg Connects guide. Hear real soldiers and officers share their experiences in their own words with immersive audio and video content.
Visitors can put their skills to the test with our exciting Young Explorer trails - complete the challenges for a chance to win prizes! Plus, the team at Communications Cafe are on hand to keep you fed!
PLEASE NOTE: A valid photo ID (such as a passport, driving licence, MoD90, Post Office pass or bus pass) is required by an adult visitor for admission onto Blandford Camp. Please telephone the Museum ahead of your visit if you are not sure you can provide the necessary photo ID.
