In a recent episode of the 'Farm Gate' podcast, ffinlo Costain spoke to Lieutenant General Richard Nugee about the role of food, farming and nature in delivering a resilient and defendable nation.
Richard Nugee is a retired British Army officer who served in senior roles, including Chief of Defence People. He wrote the Climate Change and Sustainability Strategic Approach for UK Defence in 2021, which later became the basis of a similar document for NATO. He’s also a Soil Star – a member of a group of scientists and experts, each a pioneer in their respective field, who share a commitment to soil as a lever to deliver action on climate change.
