Former Royal Signals soldier celebrates 105th Birthday today!

We love celebrating our people, young and old, and today we want to wish Len Howes a phenomenal 105th birthday!

Len is a former Royal Signals soldier and GPO engineer who was called up in 1939 and served throughout the war, specialising building and maintaining secret intercept stations. Here, German communications were captured and sent through to be decoded at Bletchley Park, then known as ‘Station X’.

Len will today receive his second birthday message from the Queen, and a few weeks ago the Formula 1 enthusiastwas even given a video call by Lewis Hamilton! He still keeps up with technology – last year a new iPad was on his present list. Happy birthday Len and Certa Cito.

Happy Birthday Len, 105 today!
