The Royal Corps of Signals 100th Anniversary Gin is produced by specially selected, multiple award winning, small batch, craft distilleries. Each of our distinctive, quality gins has a limited run of 300 bottles, with labels to uniquely identify the occasion and each bottle is individually numbered. There are three styles of gin available for the discerning gin aficionado to experience:
Sky Wave London Dry Gin, 700ml, 42% Abv which has been distilled exactingly to the London Dry style using the ‘one shot’ method, in a modern take on a traditional pot still, to create a multi-award winning signature gin. Unlike 98% of gin distilled across the world, the distillery never use the concentrate method for their London Dry gins. The perfect quantity of botanicals for each single batch are added directly to the wash, resulting in a fabulous, full-flavoured mouth feel and it received multiple awards and officially “The World’s Best Contemporary London Dry Gin at the 2020 World Gin Awards”. £42.50 per bottle inc delivery. Now £35.00 per bottle incl delivery.
Sky Wave Raspberry and Rhubarb Gin, 700ml, 42% Abv which is hand crafted with home grown Oxfordshire rhubarb and ripe raspberries, it delivers a fruity burst which is full of flavour while being fresh and light. It retains the complexity of the signature Sky Wave London Dry Gin including a clear juniper presence, while adding a delicate overtone of summer fruits. There is no added sugar, no colouring, no preservatives, and no horrid chemicals, making this the perfect gin and tonic for gin lovers looking for something pure, natural and a little different. £42.50 per bottle inc delivery. Now £35.00 per bottle incl delivery.
Messenger” Sicilian Blend Gin by Pothecary, 500ml, 47% Abv - Initially a limited- edition release from Pothecary Gin in Dorset, the award-winning distillery kindly agreed to make Messenger for the Centenary celebrations. Zeitgeist - Spirit of the Times
The military artist, Stuart Brown, was commissioned by the Royal Corps of Signals in 2015 to mark the end of their long period of service in Germany.
Representing various periods and significant landmarks of the Royal Corps of Signals’ presence in BAOR, the painting covers the time from Bruin communications (with soldiers in 1950’s battle dress) through an armoured headquarters showing an AFV439 (with figures wearing 58 pattern webbing and carrying the SLR personal weapon), Bowman vehicles (with the foreground figures wearing CS95 and carrying original pattern SA80 rifles), a modern day operator on TacSat wearing Osprey body armour, and finally the modern day MAN truck with Falcon communications.
Landmarks include the former Soviet listening station on the Brocken, the Schloss at Bisperode, the focus of many exercises, and just visible through the trees is the Bismarckturm, named after the Iron Chancellor who played a key role in the development of modern Germany.
The progression of equipment and soldiers demonstrates the evolving role of the Corps, from NATO defence to Out of Area operations, and exemplifies the combination of the Corps ethos with the environment and soul of the German hosts across the decades – the Spirit of the Times, or in German, ‘Zeitgeist’.
The prints are available in a limited edition large format, 70x50cm, for £20.00 incl. postage and a small format for £12.50 incl. postage.
