Royal Corps of Signals Guest Nights

Royal Corps of Signals Guest Nights

Each year the Royal Corps of Signals holds two guest nights at our Headquarters Mess in Blandford to welcome new additions to the Corps, say farewell to those leaving and celebrate others with a few presentations.

This year 41 new officers, both Direct and Late Entry, joined us for the first time. The Master of Signals also presented prizes to Capt Alexander Sanderson, winner of this year’s Dean Drummond Essay Competition and Lt Jack Whiting from 216 (Parachute) Signal Squadron, who won the Whistler Trophy.

This prestigious award is presented to the DE subaltern or junior Captain (Regular or Reserve) who has done the most for his/her unit over the year, paying particular attention to what they have done for those under their command, to the level of enterprise shown and to their overall contribution to the Corps.

Congratulations to both Jack and Alexander.
