R SIGNALS PIPES AND DRUMS

Twenty dedicated Regular and Reserve members of the Royal Signals Pipes and Drums have recently returned from the experience of a lifetime, performing to sell-out crowds at the Basel Tattoo in Switzerland.

Three members were selected for the prestigious slot of the Lone Piper in the show’s finale. Cpl Mark Black, LCpl David McRobb and LCpl Chris Dorman were each personally selected to play alongside bagpipe band sensation The Red Hot Chilli Pipers who shot to fame in 2007 by winning the BBC’s ‘When Will I Be Famous?’ Talent Show.

Those who missed the spectacle will not have to travel so far next year, the Corps of Pipes and Drums have already been confirmed to play at the 2020 Edinburgh tattoo as part of the Royal Signals’ Centenary Celebrations.
