Media Round Up

Media Round Up

Here is a round up of some of our favourite stories that we have put out on Social Media and in the Wire about our amazing community supporting the COVID-19 effort and supporting the Corps as a whole through fitness and ways to enrich the craziness of home schooling.

Support to NHS

How awesome are some people? Sgt Craig Langley is not only a member 71 City of London Yeomanry Signal Regiment, but he also works for the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust!  Our Reserve community are supporting not only the defence effort but the NHS as well!

Also husband and wife team Dominic and Hannah Noone who are both Key Workers!
Captain Noone, 16th Signal Regiment, is part of the Coronavirus Support Force, and Hannah working at the George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton.

Some of our soldiers from 14 Sig Regt (EW) received training to support the Welsh Ambulance Service NHS trust. The Corps and its wider family are incredibly proud.

Fund Raising Super Efforts

Two soldiers from 30 Signal Regiment, LCpl Hannah Anderson and LCpl Rhianna Postlethwaite completed 22,000 squats in 24 hours. The challenge raised money for their friends and family who work for the #NHS and so far they have raised £2070 of their £150 target!  If you want to continue to donate please follow this link:

Keeping up Moral

Our Royal Signals Pipes and Drums (who have been practising in #isolation) kept up our spirits by playing the Everyday Heroes song by Skerryvore dedicated to all #NHS and healthcare workers across the country.

If you needed inspiration to keep the little ones occupied, Maj Tom Collins did 2 videos for us showing how easy it was build a den in your back garden and showed us how to make a wicked hot chocolate, toast marshmallows and maybe sleep out under the stars  Maj Collins video was also featured on John Krasinski’s Instagram Page in his Some Good News with over 2 million views!

Health and Wellbeing

We have featured home workouts from lots of our PTs around the Corps to keep you all fit and healthy like this one from Cpl Lawati

Did anyone try one of the 216 (Para) Sig Sqn workouts or join in with Lt Col Lizzie Mortimer’s live PT session?  Or have you got a better challenge for us!
