Why? I have always wanted to plan a music festival and I saw an opportunity in the Corps Centenary. Music festivals are a platform that everyone call relate with and so will make the perfect setting to celebrate what is most important; our people.
What we are finding is that a lot the skills and experience needed run a festival are already there. Planning, building and delivering and event of this size is similar in a lot of ways to how and we plan and execute a large headquarters. Only this one has loud music and a lot more portaloos…

Why? I have undertaken the role of Media content editor and Marketing across multiple social platforms. I decided to join Project 204 for a new challenge outside of my current skill set. It has thus far proven to be very enjoyable and rewarding.

Why? I was made aware of the project by my RSM at the time and I immediately volunteered. What better way to celebrate our Centenary than putting our Corps brothers, veterans, friends and loved ones together, to have fun and relax in an amazing location with the music that has accompanied us along the way performed by the industry’s finest!

Production / Artist management and Liaison.
Why? Organising a large scale music festival has always been on my bucket list, and after a discussion with the Corps Sergeant Major almost 2 years ago it became apparent that I wasn’t the only one thinking the same thing.
My role as Artist Management and Liaison involves communicating with music agents and ensuring we have the a great line-up over the 2 days of the festival. Doing this involves building up relationships with the agencies, maintaining accurate accounts and expenditure, and producing contracts with appropriate performers. During this time we’ve had lots of really good advice and support from some of the best talent agencies in the world. During the event I will be responsible for all artists travel, accommodation, overseeing accreditation, the wellbeing of all artists, ensuring all back stage areas are safe and the artists are provided with food, refreshments and dressing room areas.

Why? I heard Matt was looking for enthusiastic, driven and credible individuals to assist in the initial Planning committee for Project 204 … and I thought “that’s me!” I also love my Corps and wanted to give something back after serving 23 years so far.

Why? Upon hearing Matt’s pitch at the Corps Convention in 2018, I quickly realised that Project 204 would be an excellent way to give something back to our soldiers to allow them to celebrate our Corps Centenary in style. Keen to get involved from the outset, I sincerely hope that people buy into why we are doing this, and as a result, it has a positive effect on Corps recruiting but more importantly, the retention of our soldiers.

Why? I wanted to be involved as I believe it’s an excellent way to celebrate the Corps’ 100th birthday across the ranks and it’s something completely out of the norm that I will probably never get the chance to do again.
