Corps Weekend

Blandford Camp – 26-28 Jun 2020

The Corps Weekend 2020 at Blandford Camp will be one of the highlights of the Royal Signals 100 celebrations.

Friday 26th June’s theme will be ‘Old Friends’ with an evening function in the Warrant Officers and Sergeants’ Mess for invited guests both past and present.

Saturday 27th June is packed with events celebrating our history, our people and our future, starting with a parade that will see RSA veterans, serving soldiers and cadets marching together with the Royal Corps of Signals Band, the Northern Band and the Pipes & Drums accompanying them.

Sunday 28th June’s theme will be the remembrance of sacrifice, with a Drumhead service followed by a march through Blandford, celebrating our freedom of the town.

Over on Elizabeth field, there’s plenty for everyone, with children’s entertainment, live music, food and drink, and stands presenting what the Corps does today. With the support of industry partners, there may also be a glimpse into the future. Meanwhile, the Royal Signals Museum will be showing off some of its Royal Signals 100 exhibits plus much more, the museum will also have free entry on Saturday and Sunday for serving and retired members of the Corps and their families.  To finish the day, everyone is invited to Party in the Park. With three bands, food and a fantastic atmosphere, it will be a chance for the whole Royal Signals family to bond.

Other than the Friday night dinner, the weekend’s events will be free of charge and are open to serving Royal Signals soldiers, their families with them, and RSA members plus some invited guests. Please remember to bring ID with you and have a great time!
